6 months ago, we opened our doors the same week that The CrossFit Games Open started.

The 2013 Open was a 5 week competition that anyone in the world could enter and was the first step for qualifying for The CrossFit Games, which is the competition many of you have seen on ESPN2.

There was a new workout announced every Wednesday for 5 weeks and all participants had to complete the workout and post their scores by the following Sunday evening.

From these 5 workouts, the top 48 men & women from each region competed in a live competition, from which the top 3 qualified for The CrossFit Games in Carson, CA.

Since The Open WODs from 2013 are extremely well rounded and are a great measure of overall fitness, we have decided to program them for the next 5 weeks starting next Tuesdays (9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24 & 10/1) so that we can all take a baseline measurement of current fitness.

We will then perform these same WODs again in 2 months to measure our progress (11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 11/26 & 12/3).

Both times you perform these WODs, you will be able to measure your results against all the others around the world that did them in March by logging your results on Beyond The Whiteboard and looking at all the posted results on The CrossFit Games Leaderboard.
