Ram is our well deserved Member of the Month!
Ever since he has joined us he has been all in, coming into classes consistently and coming to community events! It has been so amazing watching Ram get stronger and fitter over the last year plus and we can’t wait to see how much more he progresses. He is an avid 7 amer and loves to come in on Saturdays! If you see him, congratulate him for being an awesome human! He has really been crushing it lately and he has undoubtedly had this coming. Congrats!!!
When did you join Croga?
October 2023
What were you doing before for fitness?
Played basketball once a week, maybe some hikes once in awhile but mostly being a couch nick
What was your first workout? First reaction to your first workout?
We should probably discuss “Couch Nick’s” reaction to my first time on the rower! It was challenging, with new movements, and I experienced a lot of muscle soreness in the days that followed. However, it was definitely worth it..
What improvements have you seen in the way you look, feel and perform?
Definitely seeing some good changes! I feel firmer and less… well, you know, a bit softer than I did. Plus, I think I stand a little taller these days, which is always a nice bonus
What days and times do you come to Croga?
I prefer the morning hours, but I also like to maximize my sleep, so I often arrive later in the morning. I usually try to come every day unless my body tells me otherwise
What’s your favorite WOD?
Definitely anything involving the rower and strict press!
What’s your least favorite WOD?
I think it would be exercises that involve hanging from a bar (sorry 😊)

What’s your favorite post-workout routine?
Does chatting with Kal and Carmen count? Probably getting my vanilla protein shake, and then having my second coffee of the morning about 15 minutes later..
What’s been your favorite culinary discovery since joining Croga?
Vanilla protein shakes. I am a bit addicted to the sweetness and how satisfying they are. The other thing I noticed is that when I’m following a stricter diet (like a points system), they help me feel full and support weight loss. For me it’s really about preparation and eating awareness.
What’s your biggest fitness goal for this year?
A Pull Up (and maybe more)
What do you love about this type of fitness?
Most of all, I love that every workout can be scaled for all fitness levels and every individual can choose.
What words of advice do you have for new members or people considering joining Croga?
I initially started my journey at Croga because I wanted to lose some weight. However, it has become a happy place for me. The coaches, other members, and especially Cody have created such a positive environment that always leaves me feeling energetic and empowered. It’s become my hour of mindfulness, where I can focus on the next movement and not think about day to day challenges.
