Meet JOHANNA, our Member of the Month!
If you’ve ever been part of the 5 AM crew, chances are you know Johanna! She’s become a staple of our early-morning community and brings the kind of consistency, effort, and positive energy that makes Croga a better place. Johanna shows up ready to work, absolutely crushes her workouts, and is always one of the first to embrace a good barbell day. She’s 7-for-7 on the Committed Club this year, which should show you that she is a hard worker. But beyond her own progress, Johanna represents what we love about Croga: accountability, motivation, support, and most importantly, community. Her advice to new members is simple: “Be open to meeting new people, it can be life-changing!” Johanna, thank you for being such an important part of Croga and for helping make our community what it is—congratulations on being our Member of the Month! You earned it!
When did you join Croga?
What were you doing before for fitness?
I moved to the Bay Area 10 years ago and had lost my fitness routine. In SoCal I was doing CrossFit 5x per week but when I moved up here I had a hard time finding a gym where I fit in and felt comfortable. Croga welcomed me with open arms and has helped me rebuild my fitness and has changed my life.
What was your first workout? First reaction to your first workout?
I can’t remember! But I probably felt super out of shape.
What improvements have you seen in the way you look, feel, and perform?
I feel amazing! My New Year’s resolution was to make the committed club each month & so far I’m 7 of 7. This year I’ve been focusing on getting in 4-5 workouts per week and making modifications to my nutrition. This year I have lost a few pounds! Right now I’m feeling amazing.
