Got 6.5 hours of sleep, but took a nap during the day.
This was a tough session for me. The deadlift went well and I was excited about the other piece, but my back didn’t cooperate. I gave more than a full effort, probably should’ve stopped at least 1 round earlier, but tried to fight it off and keep pushing. Once I wasn’t getting the desired stimulus because I was stopping so much to stretch my back, I just gave up.
A. Snatch Grip Deadlift – 5 x 5; rest 2min (90-100% of Snatch 1RM across)
I hit 2 sets at 225 & 3 sets at 235. Videos below:
10 Rounds for time
10 Deadlift @ 135#
10 BF Burpees
10 Box Jumps @ 24″” (Step-down)
I was pumped up to give this one a shot and was just hoping/praying my back wouldn’t act up. I was cooking at the beginning of the workout with a nice steady pace of about 1:30 a round and wasn’t having any real trouble keeping it. Once my back got mad though, I slowed considerably while just trying to push through and stretch as needed. I went as far as I could, but then I just had to shut it down. I did 6 & 2/3 rounds.
