Claudio is our Member of the Month for June! Claudio is one of the coolest people that you will meet. He comes in, says hi to just about everyone with a smile and a fist bump, then proceeds to crush some weights. If you know Claudio from class you know that he can lift some heavy weights and he can sweat like no other.
Claudio has been one of the best additions to our gym, in that he brings great energy to class and to any event that we throw. We love Claudio, staff and members and all. Congrats!
When did you join Croga?
I joined Croga in May 2023.
What were you doing before for fitness?
Before Croga, I mostly did traditional gym workouts and occasional running.
Basically pretending to stay in shape lol.
What was your first workout? First reaction to your first workout?
My first workout was a partner workout with Rob.
Enough said!
What improvements have you seen in the way you look, feel, and perform?
I’ve seen significant improvements in my strength, endurance, and overall physique. Not only have I lost 35 pounds, but I’ve also gained significant muscle mass and gained and bone density.
I feel more energetic and confident.
Like a Mexican Superhero .
What days and times do you come to Croga?
I usually attend classes on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Sometimes Tuesday and Thursday too, just for fun or a bit of masochism.
What’s your favorite WOD?
My favorite WOD is “DT.” It’s a barbell complex that includes 12 deadlifts, 9 hang power cleans, and 6 push jerks for five rounds. I love the challenge and sense of accomplishment it brings.
What’s your least favorite WOD?
My least favorite WOD is “Murph.” It’s long, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s running. I’ve improved my running but not enough to look forward to it. You know?
“The Claudio” WOD! What would it be?
“The Claudio” WOD would include a mix of deadlifts, box jumps, rowing, and finish with the assault bike; AND a one rep max Squat Snatch?
What’s your favorite post-workout routine?
I love doing a good stretch getting to know the Croganites and having a protein shake right after my workout.
What’s been your favorite culinary discovery since joining Croga?
Discovering the benefits of a balanced meal prep with lots of lean proteins and veggies has been a game-changer.
What’s your biggest fitness goal for this year?
My biggest fitness goal is to complete triathlon.
Conveniently, we have Croga Tri coming up.
What do you love about this type of fitness?
I love the community, the variety of workouts, and the constant challenge to push myself. It’s a constant reminder that everyday effort is more rewarding than sporadic achievements.
What words of advice do you have for new members or people considering joining Croga?
Don’t be intimidated. Everyone starts somewhere, and the community here is incredibly supportive.

Carmen’s motivation and encouragement are second to none. Nick’s energetic and timely tips have significantly improved my technique. Johnny’s sense of humor makes even the hardest workouts enjoyable. Devin’s dedication and personalized advice have been instrumental in my progress.
