We’re so excited to recognize Angela as our Croga Fitness Member of the Month!
Angela has been an incredible addition to the Croga Fitness family since officially joining in March 2025. She’s the kind of member who lights up the room the moment she walks in — always smiling, bringing positive energy, and encouraging everyone around her to push a little harder and be a little better. Whether it’s crushing HYROX, lifting heavy on Powerlifting Wednesdays, or tackling a Saturday Partner WOD, Angela shows up with consistency and heart. She’s a true advocate for the Croga community, always spreading the word about how welcoming, knowledgeable, and supportive the gym and coaches are. Her passion for health, strength, and community perfectly represents what it means to be Lionhearted.
Way to go, Angela—you’ve earned it!
When did you join Croga?
I did a few drop in classes back in 2022 but became a regular member in March 2025
What were you doing before for fitness?
8 years ago I joined a CrossFit gym when I was living in Switzerland and only did functional training classes as the thought of CrossFit terrified me. As time went on, the natural progression just sort of happened and I started CrossFit classes in 2019. Now I love it! Other forms of exercise I do are running, hiking/snowshoeing and skiing.
What improvements have you seen in the way you look, feel and perform?
I definitely feel stronger and have surprised myself with what I can actually do at the gym.
What days and times do you come to Croga?
What days and times do you come to Croga? I’m usually at the 9am Hyrox classes, 6:30pm Powerlifting on Wednesdays, Saturday’s Partner workouts and Mobilty classes. Then I’ll try to work in 1-2 CrossFit classes here and there during the week depending on my schedule and what my body tells me I can or can’t d
What’s your favorite WOD?
I try to do them all, can’t really say I have a favorite or least favorite.
“The Angela” WOD! What would it be?
Deadlifts and more deadlifts!
What’s your biggest fitness goal for this year?
I really want to be able to string 3-5 strict pull ups in one sitting. But since we’re already in October, it might have to be a goal for 2026!
What words of advice do you have for new members or people considering joining Croga?
For people new to CrossFit or even fitness, I say, just keep showing up even when you think it’s too hard. Consistency is key and the more you show up the less hard it becomes. For those people thinking about joining Croga, I say do it! You won’t meet a nicer bunch of people. I absolutely loved how welcoming everyone was when I first joined and I’m still meeting great people AND have found running mates! The community is just simply amazing. As for the coaches, I absolutely love them all! They are extremely knowledgeable, skilled and encouraging.
