Well, the month of July really flew by, didn’t it?

With the gym being closed for the 4th of July and The CrossFit Games, we decided that it wasn’t the best month for us to teach a new skill, but we’re back at it for the month of August!

Based on popular demand, we have decided to make August our official pull-up month.kipping-pull-ups_thumb

What that means is that every day, time permitting, after our warm-up and before our WOD we will be working on our pull-ups.

Based on your current ability level in the pull-up department, we will have the following progression for you to work on every day for a set number of sets/reps in hopes that by the end of the month you will have advanced at least 1, if not multiple steps in this ladder.

Pull-up negatives->Black band pull-ups->Green band pull-ups->Blue band pull-ups->Red band pull-ups->Kipping pull-ups->Butterfly pull-ups->Chest-to-bar pull-ups

We hope to see a lot of pull-up related goals for the month of August!
