Don’t look now, but October will be here in less than 12 hours…
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a bunch of fun stuff going on at Cróga to help keep your mind off how fast this year has gone by and the fact that you have no clue what you’re going to be for Halloween and won’t know until the 30th.
Don’t forget that we will be starting The Whole 30 Paleo Challenge TOMORROW, October 1st. We encourage you all to read up today/tonight and join us in this awesome 30 day journey. Coach Kelly wrote an awesome blog post about the program a couple days ago, if you have not read it, I encourage you to do so. We also encourage you to sign up for the Whole30 Daily Newsletter, it comes as an email every morning, is a quick read and is filled with valuable information, recipes and guidance to help you through the 30 days.
The CrossFit Games will begin being aired in primetime on ESPN on Wednesday, 10/2 from 5-7 pm PST. You can check the TV schedule here: http://games.crossfit.com/article/crossfit-games-air-espn. We encourage you all to watch or record the events. These athletes are absolutely incredible and their ability to accomplish the unthinkable task is truly amazing.
On Saturday, October 26th we will be hosting a fundraiser called Barbells for Boobs. This will be an event that is open to all, and we encourage you to bring family and friends with you. This is a fun event that will involve a Partner WOD for those interested and an overall good time for those that just want to come and show their support. Check out our Facebook Event for more information about the event, how to donate & who is going to be there!
To finish off the month and celebrate the successful completion of The Whole30, we will be hosting a Pot Luck dinner on Friday, November 1st for all Cróga CrossFit members. We encourage you to find a Paleo dish during the month of October and make it to share with others. Who knows, we might even make it a contest and give out a prize to the person that makes the best meal. Keep your eyes on the Cróga Members Facebook Group for more info on this event a little later in October.
