Slept well last night (7 hours), but I was super tired this morning. No clue why, I ate well yesterday and got good sleep. I was feeling fine after a couple cups of coffee in the AM and I did my workout at 9 am with no trouble. Knee feels good today.
A. HB Back Squat – 8,8,6,6,4; rest 2min (mod-heavy load)
These went well and I really pushed myself. Didn’t feel my knee at all during these, which was great. I might’ve been able to get a little more, but you said mod-heavy so I didn’t want to go to failure. Videos below:
B. Kang Squat x3 + OHS x3 – 5 moderate sets of the complex; rest 2min
These were good, I’ve got to be careful those with the Kang squats and my knee. I felt it a couple times when I shot my hips up and locked my knees. Nothing bad though, I definitely didn’t hurt it, just felt it get tight where that lesion is. I’m icing it as we speak to get any inflammation out of there that might exist. I completed all 5 sets at 135. Videos below:
EMOM For 10min
5 Squat Snatch @ 95# + 5 Box Jumps + 15 Double-unders
This EMOM was good. I thought it was going to be more difficult to make the time cap than it was, but my quads were definitely burning starting with round 5. The double-unders felt good and I’m getting a better feel for my new RPM rope. I got 100 unbroken DUs for the first time ever last Thursday, which is kind of cool. I know that’s not a ton, but for never having done it, it was a good accomplishment for me. Video below:
