Slept a solid 8+ hours on Fri night and felt good in the morning.
This was a good session. I was especially happy with the snatches, but the rest of it went pretty well too.
A. 2″ Deficit Strict HSPU – 33 reps in sets of 3 NOT for time
These were good, no real problems. The strict 2″ deficit is getting pretty easy & my movement is continuing to clean up, which feels good. Video below:
B. Power Snatch – 10 reps for time x3 @ 155#’; rest 3min
I absolutely killed these. I’m not exactly sure where this ability came from, but I had a really good grip on the bar this morning and I was able to go unbroken on the first 2 sets and then 7-3 on the final set. The times CRUSHED last weeks times at 28, 28 & 40 seconds. Videos below:
25 Thrusters @ 95# AFAP
These hurt pretty bad, but I made my way through them. I got the thrusters unbroken and just tried to pull as hard as I could to finish off the damn row. The times here were 2:09 & 2:14. I’m happy with the only 5 second slower pace on the second one because I know the thrusters were a little slower, which means I rowed as hard as the first round if not harder. Videos below:
