After another night of rest, I’m at about 90% now. Still some minor chest and nose sinus congestion, but only right when I woke up. Slept 8 hours last night.
A. Press – build to 1RM – 175 lbs
This went pretty good. My right arm seemed to be lagging slightly, not exactly sure why. I am right handed and my right arm is usually slightly stronger, but it was a little behind this morning on the presses. Completed lifts as follows 95, 135, 155, 165, 175, 180 (Fail). Video below.
B. Seated Bnk Press – build to 1RM
These went pretty well also. I’ve never done this before, so I did a set of 5 or so at 95 lbs to feel it out and then went from there. Completed lifts as follows 115, 135, 145 (Fail), 140
50 Kipping HSPU in UB sets of 5 for time – 3:46
This went pretty good. The only rep I missed was the very last one, #50. This sucked because I had to come down, kick back up, and then do 1 more rep which ate up some unnecessary time (about 15 seconds) at the end of this WOD, but I was happy with my performance before that.
